Player classes

When you make a merchant you pick a look and a class. A class sets your starting traits and your starting kit; the three trades (Teamster, Factor and Provider) can also craft their own gear that nobody else can. It is only a start: every trait can grow to 15, and anyone can learn any skill.

Making a merchant

You pick a body, an outfit, colours, skin, hair and beard on the left, with a live preview of your merchant. Then you pick a class and spend your trait points across Strength, Endurance, Constitution, Haggling and Perception. Choose Custom to spend them all yourself.

The starter models

Every merchant starts in one of four outfits, as a man or a woman, in any colours, skin tone and hair you like. You will see better clothes as you go: crafted gear, boots and cloaks show on your character.
